Train to become a working Registered Maine Guide not just a test taker. Learn the skills that guides use daily including: map & compass, coastal navigation, shelter building, separated client searches, cooking, canoeing, snowshoeing, SUP’ng, plus specialty skills for sea kayaking, fishing, and hunting future guides. This hybrid program includes Zoom, all day workshops, and homework assignments. Course will not include the following also needed to become a Registered Maine Guide: $55 fingerprint background check, First Aid and CPR certificate, and $100/specialty IF&W test application fee. Students need access to a computer/tablet with audio and video capabilities and a printer, and will also need to have a 2 degree baseplate compass. No class on 2/14 or 2/21.
