Five Town CSD Adult & Community Education

In this class, open to beginning or experienced carvers, you will carve the swimming Puffin, an iconic bird of the North Atlantic. Students should bring a minimum of a ¾” straight chisel, a 7mm #9 gouge, an 8mm #7 fishtail gouge and a 12mm #5 gouge or equivalent. Students are also encouraged to look for as much reference material as possible to aid in carving and painting. The instructor will supply basswood blanks and eyes, and paints and brushes. A $35 materials fee is to be paid to the instructor.
