Updated content meets or exceeds the scientific recommendations developed by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and is consistent with the CPR and ECC Guidelines as established by the American Heart Association and other resuscitation councils around the world. Clear, concise, and current information will be provided on: what signs to look for and what treatment steps to take during an emergency, including how to perform CPR and use an AED; updated coverage of bloodborne and airborne diseases, including precautions to take in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; a focus on soft skills, with additional coverage relating to team-based resuscitation. This program is accepted for continuing education credit by CAPCE and NREMT for EMS personnel, and by AGD/PACE for dental providers; the State of Maine accepts the program’s credits for licensing requirements. As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential.

We are excited to connect our communities with Woodfords Family Services for this wonderful ONLINE training program. The online training will equip you to successfully help children who are currently on a waitlist for services. The training will prepare you for employment through local social services agencies. The program can be started at any time and finished at your own pace.

• You will complete 12 online modules then two 4-hour live sessions. 
• Once the modules are completed, you will receive free online bloodborne pathogen training and virtual First Aid & CPR training if you do not already possess those certifications. 
• The entire training requirements will take about 45 hours.
• Assistance with job placement is provided to anyone who completes the program.
• Assistance with technology may be available.

 Prerequisites:

• A high school diploma or equivalency. Proof of education is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older upon completion of the course.
• An administration fee of $25 is required at registration.
• A reading comprehension assessment is required prior to completing the application, administered through your local Maine Adult Education program. This requirement may be waived by showing successful completion of a college-level English course.

In-depth medical coding for CPC certification. This program is designed to teach all aspects of medical coding and provide you the skills needed to become nationally certified and get into the job market as a Certified Coder. This certificate program is taught by a Certified Medical Coder and includes Medical Terminology/Anatomy & Physiology for ICD-10 coding, CPC exam, AAPC membership, 3 practice CPC tests, and all books. Basic computer skills are required.

This course provides practical real-world skills essential for success in the healthcare field. This all-inclusive course consists of Medical Terminology, Medical Front Office Skills, Electronic Medical Records for the Medical Office, and Medical Billing. In addition, upon completion of all courses, you will sit for your CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant) and Billing Specialist National Certification exams through the NHA. Includes national certifications, books, and fees.

Medical transcription is a desired field for most people trying to work at home. Strong typing, computer, and English grammar skills are essential.   Medical terminology, formats, rules and regulations, jobs, calculation of pay, confidentiality, FTP, and tricks of the trade, all equipment, reference books, and course books are provided with the course fee.  Classes are once a week for 16-weeks with a completion of 16 weeks to 6 month options.  This is a State Certified Program and you will receive a Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation upon graduation, resumes and how to obtain a job are covered in this program.  Course includes medical terminology, Anatomy & physiology and transcription.

The course runs either 16 weeks or up to 6 months.
