MaineStream Finance is offering this hoMEworks approved homebuyer education class. Class participants who attend all classes receive a homebuyer education certificate, recognized by Maine State Housing Authority and Rural Development. The certificate is good for 2 years. Homebuyer education class attendees over the years have given the classes high ranks and recommend that every first-time homebuyer consider taking the class. Registration $30. 4 weeks 5:30-8:00 p.m. Begins Wed 4/27 CHRHS Rm 220 MaineStream Finance provides personal finance, home loans and business services to people in Maine who might otherwise have limited access to financing and credit.

Social Security Benefits Workshop 3.31.16

This is an informal session to answer questions about retirement, survivors, disability and Medicare benefits. We will cover Internet services available, the application process and general program rules. You can bring your Social Security Statement to use as a planning tool (also available online by creating a My Social Security account) if you have specific questions about your benefits. This has proven to be a very informative session! No charge but please call to register. 1 night 6:30-8:00 p.m. Class Tues 3/31 CHRHS Rm 225 Lee Ann Mahar has been a claims representative in the Rockland, Maine, Social Security office for 17 years.
